Dear Damsel in Distress,

As a high school student we are faced with many obstacles such as finding a date to every dance. Although getting ready for a dance is fun and exciting, it is often times stressful as well. Finding a pretty dress, the perfect shoes, figuring out what to do with your hair, and lastly a date. What I’ve learned throughout these high school dilemmas is that you and only you alone are in charge of your happiness. If you want something you have to make that something happen. With that being said, why wait for him to ask you? Get out there and make it happen. Whether it’s asking him to go with you or simply dropping hints (very obvious ones because after all, he is a boy). Don’t wait for someone else to give you what you want, go out there and make it happen!
